The sky was ominous that day. A deep ring of fire circled above. The eerie glow of the fire that surrounded Clocktown glared off of the remains of Crystalmold. Crystalmold was no more, but the chaos and destruction that it had inflicted had turned Clocktown to a barren wasteland, devoid of life.

Link started to speak, "Majora, do you know of the Mask Salesman of Hyrule?"

"Why yes. The one you speak of bears the name, Lance Guru. His past is shrouded in mystery," replied Majora.

"Is that so. I believe he is the intruder you speak of. He is the one that sent me on my quest in search of the mask. He became very disgruntled when I told him I had found no such mask," Link said.

"I would have never suspected such actions from him. I only know him for his hapiness and for his kindness in spreading the hapiness to others by selling his precious masks. I have even bought a few myself," said Majora.

"Maybe he got a little too happy," Link replied half sarcastically.

"Regardless, he is powerless now without the mask. Now we can seal the mask in the Crystal Realm once and for all, right," questioned Majora.

"Um..., Actually," replied Link worriedly as he scratched his head.

"You do have the mask don't you," asked Majora.

Link looked down, "I gave the mask back to him."

Majora put his head in his hands, "I thought this war finally was over. Hasn't he done enough damage already," he trembled. Majora rose to his feet in a rage and yelled so that the echo was heard for miles, "That bitter fool!"

In a more quiet and controlled tone Majora continued, "Lance has the mask back in his possession now, and I believe I know where he will be headed, Hyrule. He will destroy his hometown much like the way he did here. His motives are unclear, but I can assure you of that.

There is only one way Lance could have breached the door to the Crystal Realm. Without the Deity’s Mask he couldn’t have, unless he had the power of two ancient relics. I remember hearing stories about them during the Imprisoning War.

These Diamonds supposedly transport the user between dimensions and also contain stunning magical power, which is potentially dangerous in the hands of evil. They are the remains of the guardian of Hyrule Castle and the protector of dimensional time, Dual Diamond, named after the two diamonds from which it drew its immense magical power.

During the seven years of your slumber, Link, Ganondorf destroyed Dual Diamond, leaving the castle open for his invasion. Zelda believed the Castle would be safe if guarded by it. She was wrong however. Dual Diamond was no match for the Triforce of Power combined with the evil of Ganondorf. Ganondorf’s power lasted for seven years, until he was finally defeated by you, Link, and time was reverted back to normal.

After Ganondorf’s defeat, Dual Diamonds remains, the two diamonds, were sealed within the altar they were created on within the depths of Hyrule Castle. Zelda did this for fear of the usage of their power by evil means.

Somehow, Lance found the dimaonds, pulled them from their altar and had transported himself to Termina. He must have used these to breach the door of the Realm and steal Majora’s Mask.

Now that he has the Mask and the diamonds he has all of the power that is needed to destroy Hyrule. You must stop him Link. I will stay here and guard the Crystal Realm. If you fail, Hyrule, as well as the whole of Termina, will suffer a fate much worse than the invasion of Ganondorf."

Link replied, "I will do my best. Farewell for now."

With that Link took one last look at the gloomy remains of Clocktown, gathered Crystalmold’s remains, and departed from Termina...
